There are two bits of news that may or may not be related.
Amazon is taking pre-orders for a D&D graphic novel. The release date is listed as February 2nd, 2023.
While Amazon lists the author as Wizards of the Coast, the publisher is Farshore. That’s the same combination as the BEHOLD! A D&D Search and Find Adventure which is a hidden object book, also penned by WotC and published by Farshore.
Whatever it is, the graphic novel is pretty fat as the Amazon listing says 208-pages, but the dimensions are 13.5 x 1.3 x 21.6 cm, and that’s slightly smaller than the hardcover manuals.
Secondly, while Geek Native has had the usual lack of communication from Wizards and their PR teams, someone has and isn’t entirely keeping the secret. The Reddit group DnDLeaks claims there is a press-only announcement on Friday 18th and that the news from it will be embargoed until Tuesday 22nd.
The poster isn’t a throwaway account, and the headlines come from Reverend Schlachbals. There’s a history of RPG posting. This claim, though, isn’t backed up with any links.
