Long Tail Games wrote Geek Native some tips for creating single-page RPGs and showcased some of their Tiny Tome of RPGs.
There’s a Kickstarter running for that 50-strong collection right now. It’s funded, going very strongly, with over 600 backers. You can find out more or join in from the pitch page.
It’s a straightforward idea; loads of different creators are tasked with fitting a whole RPG on both sides of a single A5 sheet, all in a single book.
The result? 50 new RPGs to backers.
These aren’t Word docs printed out in columns, tho’. These are expertly presented and, according to Long Tail, players will;
- steal trash for their furry family
- escape to glorious freedom (and avoid being turned into a toaster)
- battle their monstrous inner demons
A pledge of AU$8 (which is about £$5) is enough for the PDF copy of Tiny Tome to be sent to a backer as a thank you.
Backers who offer AU$18 in support get a physical copy of the tome and the PDF, although shipping needs to be worked out later.
There’s a retailer tier too.
Those digital deals are expected to be fulfilled in April, while the physical copies come later and in September.
