Level Up, which uses the strapline “Advanced 5th Edition”, and from EN Publishing has released a Systems Reference Document (SRD) for third-party publishers.
The RPG is a standalone 5e that was made by, and for, a diverse audience and offers more significant character customisation options. Level Up comes with a full exploration pillar, rules for strongholds and crafting, positioning itself as a complete overhaul of 5e.
The SRD, modelled on the 2000 original from Wizards of the Coast for D&D, contains guidelines for what third-party publishers can use from the Level Up rules. While it, therefore, includes rules, it’s not really a ruleset you give to players.
EN Publishing has put together a single SRD index page that is home to very many PDFs. In effect, there are dozens of mini-SRDS for the multiple book collection of RPG rules.
These include, but are not limited to,
- the Core Rules
- Level Up’s Heritages
- Level Up’s Cultures
- Level Up’s Destinies
- Multiclassing
- Adventuring
- Combat
From the Trials & Treasures ruleset
- Diseases, Positions, & Mental Stress Effects
- Journeys
- Exploration Challenges
- Encounters & Rewards
From the Monstrous Menagerie
- Monsters
Gamers interested in Level Up will be able to checkout A5e.tools later, a site where the public-facing rules will become available. It is currently in beta and locked to Kickstarter backers with invitations.
However, PDF copies of the games are available from EN Publishing’s store at DriveThruRPG.
