Wanderhome publisher Possum Creek Games has, as they said they would, not gone to Kickstarter for their next RPG. You can find Yazeba’s Bed & Breakfast at Indiegogo instead.
Furthermore, there’s a partnership with One More Multiverse for a virtual tabletop comapnion. The campaign asked for $30,000 to fund and, a few days later, has more than $150,000 in pledges. You can find out more, or join in, from Indiegogo.
You can already play Yazeba’s Bed & Breakfast for free, at least for now, using the “ashcan” version at Itch.io. This isn’t the full game.
The game is told around a queer found family and played over 48 chapters. Each of those chapters is an RPG session around one to two hours long.
As you’d expect from Possum Creek, Yazeba’s Bed & Breakfast is a warm and inclusive game.
Using mechanics from legacy board games, Yazeba’s Bed & Breakfast gives you stickers used to customise and update the storylines. In time, your copy of the game will be unique to you.
Yazeba’s unusual blend of premade characters, modular rules, and legacy mechanics makes it a perfect game for pick-up play: busy players can drop in and out without ever feeling lost, and anyone who wants to jump in can make a long-term impact without a long-term commitment. We’ve spent months playtesting and working with our developmental consultant Avery Alder to make sure the game is as easy as possible for new players to step into, while still offering incredible depth for the more experienced player.
A pledge of $15 will get you a black and white physical copy of the game and $20 a One More Multiverse digital bundle.
The deluxe digital edition, which is also a One More Multiverse exclusive, is a reward for $40 backers.
The hardcover with perks like t-shirts unlocks at $90. That’s about £68, according to Indiegogo.
The box set is there for $120 backers, and then the highest level tops out at $500. Indiegogo doesn’t readily list the perks in the backing option bar, but Possum Creek spells them out in the pitch page and available merchandise.
