The first trailer hinted and the second confirms. There’s a dark side to Shikimori, and it’s kinda cool.
Here’s the gag; mild-mannered Izumi is dating the friendly and fun Shikimori; she’s his high school sweetheart and entirely perfect. In fact, Shikimori can kick it up from “cute girlfriend” mode to “action hero” should the situation need it.
This, the second trailer, shows that Shikimori (voiced by Saori Onishi aka Chateau in Love of Kill) can switch out of sweetheart mode and into someone far more aggressive under quite a few situations – including winning a sportsball game.
The series is coming to Crunchyroll on the 9th of April. The anime platform describes the show;
