The third trailer for I’m Quitting Heroing is out, and it shows our former hero doing his best to get into the new Demon Lord’s army.
That’s right; rather than oppose the demon, the idea is to sign-up instead.
So, why am I calling this “nominative determinism”? The former hero is named Leo. Leo Demonheart. I think there’s a clue there.
The series is heading to HIDIVE and starting this week. Sentai Filmworks, who are helming the project, describe it;
After saving humanity from the despicable Demon King, Leo Demonhart does not earn a hero’s standing. Instead, he is regarded with suspicion and hostility by those he fought to protect. Treated as a pariah with nowhere else to turn, exiled Leo seeks a position in the army of his former nemesis! But the army is not what it once was before its defeat at Leo’s hands, so to maintain his new position, Leo must whip the forces back into fighting shape.
The anime is based on Quantum and Hana Armano’s light novels, with studio EMT Squared providing the crew and both Yu Nobuta and Hisashi Ishii directing.
Kensho Ono aka Akutagawa in Bungo Stray Dogs voices the turncoat Demonheart.
