River Horse Games, the publisher with the license for the official The Dark Crystal game, is now selling the digital edition from DriveThruRPG.
The RPG has been out before, available in hardback from retailers like Amazon. Amazon UK says they only have nine left in stock, so it’s still selling.
The adventure game is recommended for people 18 and up; that’s an adult rating. River Horse and creators like Jack and Chris Caesar, Janet Forbes and Stephanie Bryant have created a 200-page book that details the setting carefully, includes a full rule system and comes with maps and adventure.
The physical edition used transparent overlays within pages to show or hide information, and this will have required conversion for the digital format.
Brian Froud, the artist famous for his work on the Jim Henson classic, also contributed art to the game.
River Horse hasn’t put together a lengthy blurb for DriveThruRPG. Instead, they say;
This book contains everything you need to play in and run your own version of Thra. Create Gelfling Characters, dive into a fantastical world of Henson creatures, and rise up against the Skeksis.
