Everyday Heroes is a 5e RPG for the Modern World. It was launched on d20 Modern’s 20th anniversary by Evil Genius Productions with some of the original d20 Modern team involved.
Now, supporting the Everyday Heroes RPG is a new line called Cinematic Adventures that will cost $20 per module, breach 100-pages per book, and be based on iconic films.
D. Todd Scott, the owner of Evil Genius, said;
The beauty of a Modern-day roleplaying game is that you get to re-enact the action movies that we love. I’ve often found myself in the movie theater wishing I was in the movie. Soon, we will give players the chance to revisit these iconic scenes and make their own decisions.”
Evil Genius Productions will not be doing this alone. Roll20, Foundry and Syrinscape are on board to help. In fact, Roll20 will launch Season Pass of Adventure which will provide a whole year worth of Cinematic Adventures content for a discount.
Roll20’s new boss, Ankit Lal, said;
We’re very excited to be partnering with Evil Genius Productions by providing virtual versions of their adventures through the platform.”
The discounted subscription is not exclusive to Roll20. Foundry VTT has the offer and content as well but will follow behind. Andrew Clayton, Creator of Foundry Virtual Tabletop, added;
We’re excited to add support for Everyday Heroes which revisits and improves upon the classic d20 Modern experience and look forward to seeing gamers engage with this ruleset using Foundry VTT”
Syrinscape is involved with the accompanying SoundPacks to go with the Cinematic Adventures modules. Benjamin Loomes, CEO of Syrinscape notes
Every great movie has a great soundtrack to amplify the intensity and emotion of the film. We feel the same about great roleplaying sessions.”
