Penny Blake has thoughtfully put Bassy and Marl’s Most Excellent Eggstravaganza up on the DMsGuild as a Pay What You Want with a suggested price of $0.00. You can tip more if you want.
You’ll get nearly twenty pages of 5e adventure and Easter inspired goodies and that’s handy if your players might be wanting a one-shot at short notice or you want to smuggle in some seasonal vibe.
The D&D third-party content plays in between 2 and 4 hours and is scalable for any hero level. The scenario is designed so that you can pop it into your current campaign and is based around a town called Tinderditch that fits in most fantasy adventures.
The encounters, monsters and trap rules are from the basic rules apart from a few provided at the back. There are non-combat Harengon, though, which you get from Wild Beyond the Witchlight.
The situation kicks off when two gnome inventors, Sabsatbule and Marleduke, who travel the world in a mechanical house, decide on launching the egg hunt of “Bassy and Marl’s Most Excellent Eggstravaganza” and doing that near Tinderditch.
What could go wrong? It all rather depends on what those eggs actually are, how endangered or dangerous they might be!
Sebastabule and Marleduke are accomplished inventors with hearts of gold, it’s just a shame that their epic plans do not always turn out the way they hope
Can your party thwart their latest well-meaning schemes and battle their way through mishaps and monsters to save a bunch of rare endangered eggs before time runs out?
The 19-page download, which is an Easter Egg hunt with a D&D difference, contains;
- 7 new Alice-themed magic items
- A harengon tea party
- A Mad Hatters’ Guild
- Racing Flamingos
- A poetic dragon turtle
- Rampant herds of almiraj
- A steam-powered ferryboat
- A clockwork chicken-legged house
- A marvellous mechanical mystery egg
I paid $1 for mine and think it’s worth more. I’m inclined now to check out other of Penny’s PWYW offerings and note many are 5/5 rated.
