The first D&D Direct will happen this week on the 21st and you’ll be able to watch on YouTube or Twitch.
It now looks certain Wizards of the Coast will announce a new Dungeons & Dragons hardcover for summer, with a release date of August 16th. The placeholder is now live on Amazon.
The new book could be Dragons of Stormwreck Isle. News of that Starter Set was confirmed in a Hasbro press release.
However, D&D Direct is heavily hinting toward Spelljammer. AAW Games shared, on Instagram, a D&D Direct box they got from Wizards of the Coast. Inside was some Minsc and Boo figures. The Ranger and Hamster are associated with Baldur’s Gate in the Forgotten Realms and Spelljammer.
D&D’s newest senior designer, Jason Tondro, also started at WotC last month, worked on Starfinder and dropped strong Spelljammer hints.
On Amazon, the Summer TBA holding page says the book will be;
- 142 grams
- 5.1 x 21.9 x 29. 5 cm
- ISBN 10 0786968168 & ISBN 13 978-0786968169
However, tracking these details in the past has not been helpful except for the ISBN.
