Final Fantasy XVI is on the way, and that’s 35 years since the launch of the series. Why the name? Ironically, designer Hironobu Sakaguchi allegedly assumed it would be his last game.
On May 16th in the US, and on different dates in a few other countries, Uniqlo will release a t-shirt series.
Despite the new game on the way, the classic and old-school Final Fantasy designs catch my eye. Official Chocobo designs always go fast, so to speak! There is at least one shirt for each main game in the series, and this means some cracking pixel art.
A limited-edition of Final Fantasy playing cards is also available, at least until they sell out.
The collection will be available online for $19.90 a tee and at stores, but those brick-and-mortar locations will get to tweak those to their needs.
Sadly, hacking the URL to prompt the site to show a UK version of the collection only throws a 404 error. These designs might not be available to this British blogger.
