It’s not often a newsletter that describes the sender as “a benevolent megacorp that develops and publishes games for deckers worldwide” but that’s what Paradox Interactive did today.
The World of Darkness owner also has some dibs on Shadowrun and today announced next-generation console support for The Shadowrun Trilogy.
We’re getting a remaster of the Shadowrun Returns RPGs, the ones from Harebrained Schemes, but updated, upscaled and enhanced. It’s good news for owners of Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
If you buy computer games on pre-orders then you can do that today too. There’s a discount of 25% if you do, but game prices can drop quickly as well.
The Shadowrun Trilogy comprises 3 cult tactical RPG games taking place in a dystopian cyberpunk future in which magic has re-awakened, bringing back to life creatures of high fantasy. Initially created as a tabletop RPG over 30 years ago, this one-of-a-kind setting that has gained a huge cult following during the past three decades.
The story-based RPG is still popular and the Kickstarter $1m to fund Shadowrun Returns still memorable. It was designed by Jordan Weisman, who created the original tabletop RPG. The two sequels are Dragonfall and Hong Kong.
