Storybrewers are the publisher behind games like Good Society, the Jane Austen RPG, and the sports drama Fight With Spirit. Now, the fresh young talent is putting no-prep RPGs into travel boxes so you can pop them in a bag and go spend time with friends.
They’ve done this before, getting hundreds of backers back in 2020 with Villagesong and Our Mundane Supernatural Life. The two new games are Decaying Orbit and Saltfish & Almanacs. You can find out more or join in from the Kickstarter page.
In Decaying Orbit, players are piecing together memories of a space station’s AI moments before its demise.
In Saltfish & Almanacs, players are on a journey of self-discovery and wonder as they peddle goods between towns.
The previous two Littlebox games are also included as options. So players can lead villages, poems and myths in Villagesong and cozy up with heartwarming slice-of-life with Our Mundane Supernatural Life.
Ever had a night where you just couldn’t decide what rpg to play? Or find yourself with time for one extra game at a convention? So have we! That’s why we decided to create our Littlebox games: no-prep, one-shots that you can play anytime, anywhere (well ok, not underwater).
You can back the campaign for any money, and if you do, you can buy from the add-on system later.
If you have a physical store, then AU$26 (about £15) gets you into a discount scheme and 5 copies of Decaying Orbit and Saltfish & Almanacs.
Alternatively, as gamers, we can back with AU$78 and get a copy of both new games and stretch goals.
All four Littlebox Collection titles are on offer as a reward for backers at the AU$154 tier.
Storybrewers estimate fulfilment will start around January 2023 for the boxes.
