Blood & Claw is a 17-page 5e supplement. Created by Nicholas Udell, aka HisCursedness.
It’s a Name Your Own Price, and I think it’s worth at least $5.
Ravenous hunters stalk the livestock of an otherwise placid agrarian village, leaving nothing in their wake but gory carcasses. Concerned for their livelihoods, farmers have pooled their scant means to put out a call for adventurers. With the promise of one hundred gold pieces to whoever ends the threat, they beg for a swift resolution to the carnage.
It’s an adventure and one suited to four 1st level characters. HisCursedness estimates it’ll take a couple of sessions to play, each around two to three hours. I think that’s a whack a time and why $5 is great value.
The setting, Hendstock, a minuscule town, can be adapted for many 5e worlds, and while it certainly has a tone, it’s relatively safe in high fantasy.
I think the presentation is suitably high-end, but the contents are worthy of most praise.
There’s a bakery, but also murder.
The adventure introduces four new, or potentially new, monster entries.
