Barrel Rider Games have an offer on the Bundle of Holding between a flash sale and a bundle, which will run until May 18th. That’s more than a week, so not quite a flash sale, and a single tier, so not a typical BoH bundle.
Inspired by folklore, this second edition of The Hero’s Journey RPG is about danger and magic. It’s not entirely OSR, but it leans that way and certainly comes from the OSR tradition. However, 2019’s edition by James Spahn puts in some new distance.
A blog post from the designer last year noted;
It’s a game built on the bones of classic fantasy adventure games: six attributes that, along with a Lineage and an Archetype, define the bare bones of a character. Combat, along with much of its conflict resolution, is resolved with the toss of a 20-sided die. Characters earn experience points, level up, and earn magic items. But that’s simply the ‘how’ of the game. It’s not what the game is. It’s a straightforward deal with one tier coming in at under $13 to buy access to what would otherwise cost $57 at full price.

Flash sales at the Bundle of Holding don’t tend to have a charity partner. The Hero’s Journey does, and it’s Direct Relief, so perhaps this is just a short-lived bundle.
