Disney+ gave us Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters in a She-Hulk teaser about half a year ago. It looked like a legal comedy then, and it still does in this first official trailer, but with even more superheroes.
The She-Hulk series will premiere on August 17 and run for 10 episodes.
In the comics, and it looks like the show, Jennifer Walters is Bruce Banner’s cousin who gets some of his powers through a necessary blood transfusion.
However, because of that secondary “contagion” route to power, not the full gamma blast, Jennifer keeps most of her intelligence, emotional control and loads of her personality while hulking out.
The catch? We’re yet to see what the TV series does but She-Hulk spends rather more time green than Hulk tends to.
The teaser also shows us Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/the Abomination, and we’re expecting Benedict Wong to appear as Wong.
The American poster for the show subtitles “Attorney at Law” and I had to check; there really is pretty much a straight overlap between what an “Attorney” is in the States and what a “Solicitor” is in the UK insofar as it’s someone with the legal power to represent you. So, Attorney at Law could be the shorthand for “Legal Power at Law”.
