Onipan really is an anime about demons and underpants, and about friendship too.
The TV series is set in a world where humans and demons, or oni, live together. Three oni-girls transfer into a school in Tokyo on a mission to improve the image of oni.
The secret weapon? Demon underpants aka Onipan.

With the power of onipan, three oni-girls become human in order to help fix the relationship between humans and oni. They transfer into a normal Tokyo high school and begin to revitalize everything around them.
Some of the characters are related to the oni of Japanese folklore. Momozono-Momo and Issun-Bōko are the children of the mythological Momotarō and Issun-Bōshi, and, as a result, they’re teased about it.
This trailer highlights the music with the reveal that talent Miyu Tomita will voice the idol character Noririn in the anime. Tomita is already playing the character Noriko Issun, but one can turn into the other via the power of an ancient mallet.
