Two Little Mice were so impressive with Broken Compass that the Italian RPG publisher was bought by the mighty CMON. Now, the talented group are back on Kickstarter and with a tabletop RPG about Littlings in conflict in an abandoned house.
Household won the prestigious LUCA game award and is from the ENnie nominated authors Riccardo Sirignano and Simone Formicola. The newly minted 2LM Press wanted $20,000 to fund on Kickstarter, didn’t give themselves much time to get it but still have a week on the clock and nearly $200,000 pledged. You can see the latest tally on Kickstarter.
In Household, you play as fairies in a regency-like setting in a house left without a Master for 100 years. CMON calls it “Pride & Prejudice & Centipedes”.
The system uses d6 in response to Obstacles and Threats, and the Kickstarter story suggests the Favored by Fortune engine is being used.
You can download the quickstart rules for free and in English or Italian.
You can support the Kickstarter in the usual way with social shares and cash. As is also customary, if you are generous in your financial backing, then there are rewards.
If you pledge $30 or more, all the unlocked digital stretch goals are yours, as are the PDFs; Household – Volume 1, Saga of the Fragile Peace and a Practical Guide for Living Inside the House. Volume 1 are the core rules.
At $60, you get the hardcover of Volume 1, dice and those PDFs, and shipping to sort out.
At $150, you’re a mouse rider and will get the deluxe bookcase (a Kickstarter exclusive), the hardcovers of the books, a map of the house, an exclusive figure, and a narrator screen dice, plus the previously unlocked rewards.
I had expected more tiers, but there are none. There are add-ons, and 2LM predict shipping of June 2023.
