Jay Mooers is both an illustrator and a writer with experience with DC, Universal, Warners, Dynamite, Bethesda and others. Titles include Green Arrow, Fallout, Daredevil and even exclusive art for Kong: Skull Island.
Fae is a tabletop RPG where players are the monsters. The game is based on the world of Autumn Grey, which was created by Jay. The RPG is more than that, though. It’s also Jay’s game, design and Kickstarter.
Monsters are real, they hide in the shadows, and in Fae, they are you. These monsters, these Fae, can be good or evil. As can people in this modern, internet-enabled, social media savvy world. The one thing that holds the Fae together is simple – do not get caught.
The system uses d10 for mechanics and uses Affinity Cards to detail powers.
Contributing artists include Rusty Gilligan, who has worked everywhere in the industry from Heavy Metal to the Spider-Man movies, Jim Lawson, one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles artists and writers, and Ryan Santos, who has done work for many Marvel, DC, and Cryptozoic titles.
You can support the project by sharing it on social media or making a cash pledge without a reward.
However, if you can pledge $15 or more, you will pick up a digital copy of all the rules.
At $25, a physical copy of the Fae Player’s Guide is the reward, and at $50, the complete Fae book is provided.
There is a deluxe tier, including the standard book, two copies of the player’s guide and 10d10.
Backers, if the project is successful, may not have long to wait as the delivery is slated for October.
