There’s a release date, a poster and an official synopsis out for the Bibliophile Princess. Though, my brief research into the anime for this post has been inclusive.
Some fans say there’s more going on here, that the twists and turns are less predictable than usual. Others, though, say that the synopsis is enough to hint at the slight curve of a plot.
The light novels by Yui are available at Amazon, and they certainly hint that the politics in the show is more than background flavour. That said, here’s the official synopsis for the anime;
When book-loving Lady Elianna spots Prince Christopher—her betrothed in name only—consorting with another noble lady, she realizes the recent rumors must be true. The prince has someone he truly loves, which means the annulment of their engagement is both inevitable and fast-approaching. What she doesn’t realize is that this is merely a surface ripple—one of many where the truth runs deep, in a conspiracy surpassing her imagination!
Reina Ueda (Shuka Karino in Darwin’s Game) will be voice Lady Eliannafor the show, and Ryohei Kimura (Gо̄riki in Odd Taxi) will voice Prince Christopher.
Madhouse is running the show with Tarou Iwasaki (Ryoko’s Case File, Sweetness & Lightning) directing.
The anime is due out in October.
