I still remember watching a YouTube video in awe as crafters turned a lump of recycled wood into a gorgeous gaming table complete with a river you could see through. I’m reminded of that tabletop river except with rainbows when I look at Everything Dice’s The Enchanted Vault Kickstarter.
There’s more than the wood and risen dice vaults, though. Everything Dice also have new sharp edge dice with, they say, magic. You can join the thousand-plus people who’ve backed the beautiful project from the crowdfunding page.
The Enchanted Vault and Other Dice project has taken two years to get here. Kickstarter says it’s Everything Dice’s first project, but they’ve experience in the sector, and these designs are “new” rather than “our first attempt” for them.
The dice vault holds dice of up to 25mm, are lined with velvet, and can be used as a trolling tray. The hex vaults have different measurements but are still as thoughtful.
Our Enchanted Vaults are all handcrafted in our sister woodworking studio, made by expert artisan woodworkers. They are then accented with a unique, fantastic handpoured resin portion, before finally being sanded, polished, and primed to a smooth, seamless finish.
We use high quality black walnut wood, sourced from North American suppliers following sustainable use practices. Because of the color variance of black walnut, we also went the extra step to ensure that both upper and bottom portions have matching colors.
The backer tiers are limited and used differently from other projects. You buy in at $15, which gets you access to the Pledge Manager, in that you pick the accessories you want, and they’ll be using tens and hundreds of dollars depending on what you pick.
Wave one is expected to ship in September 2022, wave two in November, and the final wave, which caps the project at 9,000 backers, is due January 2023.
