Inspired by Pathfinder 2e and D&D 5e, Savage Urth from the three brothers at Fire Lizard Games is a prehistoric and stone-age fantasy RPG on Kickstarter.
If the campaign is successful, a single core rulebook will offer everything you need to run and take part in adventures in untamed lands. You can find out more, or pledge, from the project page.
In Savage Urth, many different types of sentients are played, and many are based on real-world animals. We’re told of desert-dwelling geck-folk as one example.
A $0.00 recommended, but Pay What You Want, Savage Urth preview is available at DriveThruRPG which shines some more light on these options.
Savage Urth uses classes, but the campaign promises new and unique setting classes. One example is the Feral-morph, which grows permanent bestial appendages.
Prehistoric creatures roam the land, often dismantling civilization before it can take root. Most of the foes in Savage Urth are extinct animals from previous ages from Earth’s prehistory. The apex predators such as the Tyrannosaurus Rex could occupy the same territory as the Mastodon.
A pledge of $1 is enough to get a thank you in the book and unpolished/ashcan access to some adventure module content. You’re also able to use Kickstarter’s add-on system at this tier.
There are early bird /time-limited offers, but if you miss those, then the next tier with rewards is $16, and that is the whole PDF rulebook, VTT tokens, 3d print assets, VTT and STL stretch goals, plus the former rewards.
Then, at $40, the standard colour hardback is added, with the premium colour book being there at $59.
The highest reward tier is $150, and delivery of the digital goods is slated for June 2023, with the physical books due for September 2023.
