Free to download from the DMsGuild and the author Mud Puddle The Hedgehogian Files introduces a new player race.
As with other DMsGuild products, we’re adding to 5e and perhaps with D&D in mind. However, you could take inspiration from these 2 and a bit-foot-tall people for any other game.
Hedgehogians look like hedgehogs and, long ago, originated from the Feywild. The curious creatures live in the woodlands and tend to get on well with any nearby gnomes or halflings.
While Hedgehogians are gentle, they’re also spiky. You’ll know if you’ve upset one. As Mud Puddle says;
These creatures are often found in forests and are mostly nice animals, but this does not mean that they can’t frick you up. So do no(t) underestimate them, and enjoy.
The author also says that this free download is an early concept with updates to be expected. There are some typos to iron out, but I’d like to read more about the physical description of the race in one of these updates.
Quills add +2AC but only when the Hedgehogians are curled into a ball. There’s natural armour too, but only when covering armour isn’t worn. Hedgehogians also have the Cuteness trait, which lets them cast Charm Person as a cantrip.
