Korean filmmaker Choi Dong-hoon and CJ Entertainment are gearing up to release two Alienoid films.
It’s the story of holy sword seekers from the Goryeo Dynasty time travelling and encountering people tracking down an alien being imprisoned in a human body and on the run.
It’s unknown if or where either of the two movies will end up outside Korea. A Fandango search is currently fruitless. In Korea, Alienoid is due out towards the end of July.
The sword seekers and alien trackers meet when a time-travelling gateway opens.
Staring in the connected movies are Ryu Jun-yeol as a master swordsman, Kim Tae-ri as thunder weilding woman, Kim Woo-bin, So Ji-seob, Yum Jung-ah, Kim Eui-eung, Lee Ha-nee, and Jo Woo-jin.
IMDB lists the first movie as Oegye+in 1bu, the second, due out in 2023, as Oegye+in 2bu and offers this as a summary;
The door of time opens between the swordsman who wants to seize the legendary divine sword at the end of the Goryeo Dynasty and those who chase after an alien prisoner imprisoned in a human body in 2022.
