The latest trailer for the One Piece film – called One Piece Film Red, for reasons – has cast info and the theme song. There’s also a new poster out for the much-hyped anime.
The theme song is by Uta Project, and the poster comes from One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda.
Red will air in Japan in August and introduces a new character, Shanks’ daughter, Uta. She’s the one doing all the signing.
The usual cast returns, including, but not limited to, Mayumi Tanaka as Monkey D. Luffy, Kazuya Nakai as Roronoa Zoro, Akemi Okamura as Nami, Kappei Yamaguchi as Usopp, Hiroaki Hirata as Sanji, Ikue Otani as Tony Tony Chopper. It’s the 15th film in the series.
Film 14 was Stampede, which made over $90m on the big screen worldwide, and Funimation took to the States and Canada. There’s no Funimation to do so in 2022.
