Do you want to play a quick role playing game with streamlined rules and a simplified mechanic for every choice? I’ve designed a coin-flip based system for the world’s most popular ttrpg. Players use coin flips for nearly every aspect of the game and create a collaborative story in 5 to 15 minute scenes. It’s tightly packed for its 4-pages, and other games would make the text last much longer. An artsy layout could push Pecunia into 20 or more sides.
The introduction to Pecunia begins;
The point of this game is to use cinematic narration and creativity to improvise scenes that make up a short collaborative “film of the mind”. Percunia is loosely based on a streamlined version of the world’s most popular TTRPG.
“Loosely” is right. The coin flip means you’ll be rolling 1 or 20, which is pretty dramatic!
As well as describing the flip mechanic, Percunia offers character generation with abilities, magic and equipment. There’s a GM section with monsters and quarter-shot ideas.
I think it’s worth a few bucks, especially if you fancy a pub game without dice.
