CD Projekt RED has their name, not R. Talsorian Games, on Netflix’s coming Cyberpunk anime. I guess that’s okay, it’ll be RED’s budget lending some oomph to the show’s momentum, in part, and the game-makers have provided the story which anime scribers Masahiko Otsuka (Star Wars: Visions’ The Elder’) and Yoshiki Usa (Gridman Universe) are adapting.
It’s due out in September 2022.
IMDB describe the show;
A Street Kid trying to survive in a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an Edgerunner a Mercenary outlaw also known as a Cyberpunk.
Studio Trigger (Darling in the Franxx) and Hiroyuki Imaishi (Kill la Kill) are helming the 10-episode Edgerunners show.
Netflix has provided an “inside look” video.
Lastly, there’s a rather colourful Cyberpunk: Edgerunners poster/key visual for the show. It’s a good look at the two main characters.
