There’s a tabletop RPG for Bethesda’s Fallout, and, of course, it’s by Modiphius.
The publisher has today opened pre-orders on the new Starter Set (UK | US). Shipping in August, the Starter Set has a 56-page rulebook with core rules, perks and equipment, a 60-page quest book, pre-genned characters, dice and Nuka-Cola caps for currency.
The Starter Set will cost £22, which is cheaper than the £33 for the full TTRPG Amazon currently asks for. The complete game has been out since October last year and is much larger at 438-pages.
There is a third route with a free Fallout Quickstart PDF being made available to download from DriveThruRPG this week.
The free Fallout TTRPG Guide is a PDF and 64-pages long. You get the complete starter set rule set, pre-genned and adventures but not the physical elements of the Starter Set.
Without the physical Nuka Cola tokens to use as currency, you’ll have to find something else to stand in if all you have is the digital quick start. That said, it does feel like a great way to look inside the closed box of the new Starter Set.
