Steamforged Games seem to have steadied the ship since hitting Dark Souls waters, and there’s been more than one Kickstarter since then.
Epic Encounters: Local Legends is one of that list, with only 7 days left on the clock due to a short run. That’s a shot run against a target of £50,000. On offer are battle maps, encounters and minis.
The campaign has smashed those targets, shooting passed £125,000 and with more than 1,250 backers. You can see the latest tally on the crowdfunding platform.
Steamforged Games notes the truth; players will decide the action needs to move to the tavern, and they’ll do this often.
Epic Encounters is designed to help to provide some legendary taverns and all the accessories needed to bring them to life on the gaming table.

- 60 NPCs with portraits, backstory and adventure hooks

You can, of course, support the Kickstarter with social media fanfare and your shiny pennies.
If you pledge £17 or more, you’ll get the digital stuff, and that’s the three books combined into a PDF. You also get access to the add-ons.
At £37, there’s the boxed set of three books, 10 maps, NPC cards, tavern game rules, game sheets and the PDF.
The minis start at £66, with the owlbear, druid, ghost pirates, ghosts, night hag and others.
£107 and £131 as the top two, and that big hitter is hugely popular, with more than half the backers going there.
The estimated delivery date is November 2023.
