Okay, there was a wolf.
You see, when I’ve blogged about the geeky merch from Merchoid in the past, I’ve often found myself talking about the retailer’s stock level warning bar. It always seems to be warning of a sellout event happening, and I’ve wondered whether that’s helpful, hurtful or just straight-up FOMO marketing.
Well, it turns out the stock ticker is about right. Blue and Green dragons from Bubble Bobble sold out and are now on ‘update me when back in stock’ watch.
Blue Bubble Bobble
Bob!
Green Bubble Bobble
Bub!
[Or this]
Both cute dragons are made from recycled polyester, hangtag printed with plant inks, FSC certified recycled cardboard and are climate neutral. They’re also about 20cm.
If you’re upset that they’re sold out at Merchoid, I imagine they’re available elsewhere, although this shopping search finds other Bubble Bobble stuff, it doesn’t yet find the plushies.
The two characters are dragons from Taito’s cult-hit arcade hit, which dates all the way back to 1986. You’ll see one or either of the bubble-throwing pair pipping up in all sorts of places.
