I’m not sure there’s much to say about Nemesis Now’s Cthulhu Plush beyond “Hey, I saw this and thought of you” and to point out how original it is.
No, Cthulhu plushies aren’t new, but I’m used to seeing green versions that, in body shape, look very similar to this. However, the simple touch of throwing on geometric shapes and strange glyphs transforms this little great one into something new.
Lovecraft was an unpleasant fool but did bring together stories of occult and investigation. Here, we bring together cute and the occult.
It’s available now and looks to be one of two Nemesis Now offerings from Forbidden Planet. The other is a Stormtrooper Tankard.
All that lures me to the Nemesis Now site, which focuses on wholesale. That means it’s not keen on selling one or two items to the likes of you and me. However, Google exists for many reasons, and it’s easy to find stockists. My favourite alternative item is this Baphoboo, another cute occult figure readily found elsewhere.
