The first new Gundam TV anime in about seven years started in Japan today. Well, the prologue did anyway. The whole series begins in October.
Gundam: The Witch From Mercury is a prequel with new suits such as Gundam Lfrith and Beguir-Beu.
IMBD lists Yoshiyuki Tomino and Hajime Yatate as the creators and describes the show;

Spriggan director Hiroshi Kobayashi is at the helm of the Bandai Namco Filmworks/Sunrise project, and Ryo Ando is on board as co-director.
The previous Gundam TV series was Iron-Blooded Orphans, which ran on Netflix.
