Wizards of the Coast are Hasbro’s digital gaming arm and manage several computer game studios. They now have a sixth; Skeleton Key.
Ex-BioWare Austin head-honcho Christian Dailey will lead the project and become Vice President at Wizards of the Coast. Skeleton Key will also be based in Austin.
Dailey said;
I’m excited to be starting this new adventure with the company that has created so many of my favorite toys and games growing up. We are looking forward to growing our studio team with more talented creators who share our passion.”
Wizards of the Coast president and digital gaming, Cynthia Williams added;
We are thrilled to continue to build our roster of exceptionally talented digital gaming leaders and welcome Christian to the team,”
Skeleton Keys’ site explains its mission;
Our mission is to create immersive gameplay, unique stories, and thought-provoking moments of suspense and horror that guide players to have fun while facing their fears.
The studio has several roles, including a senior producer leading a project.
In 2019, Wizards bought the Montreal-based Tuque which went on to make Dark Alliance.
