Flamberga is an indie Italian RPG publisher and timed with ZineQuest, they’re bringing Dead Gods Hunters to Kickstarter.
It’s a Mork Borg zine about hunters looking for the still living power that dwells inside the sacred remains of dead gods. It’s funded, but it’s a short-lived campaign with just two weeks on the clock. You can find out more or back from the pitch page.
Even death itself can die,
Flamberga points out that Dead Gods Hunters can work with every setting, but I see why they picked Mork Borg. There’s a dark vibe to this zine.
There’s a quality one, too, with the 40-ish page product being an A5 softcover with holographic foil details and 130gm silk paper. That’s the regular edition; the Kickstarter will have a holographic foil front cover.
Four adventures are promised, perhaps more, along with details of the legendary gathering of The Hunter’s Inn, instructions for creating a dead god and its cult, hunter rules and new weapons are all heading for the final book.
What happens when a god dies? Where do its dreadful powers end up? How would mortals react if they uncovered traces of those otherwordly forces still residing within its rotting corpse? Exactly: it would be chaos. The right kind of chaos to give birth to hunters, real of self-styled professionals, either hired by someone or searching out of their own vocation, brought together by their pursuit of divine corpses.
A pledge of €8 will get you a PDF of Dead Gods Hunters in English or Italian. That’ll also get you into the add-ons, which is the one way to get the exclusive t-shirt Flamberga is planning. It’s tempting.
€16 will get you the print copy and stretch goals to match, while €20 s the exclusive edition.
At €50, that tempting t-shirt joins the loot with stickers and a printed pamphlet adventure. There are also retailer tiers.
If it all goes to plan, Flamberga will deliver this as early as November.
