Suitable for 5e, Carin and Mark of the Odd, artist and designer Jim Hall is working on Worldlings for ZineQuest.
The supplement is a collection of tiny strange gods complete with a mystery generator for a ‘fable-of-the-week’ game style. Kickstarter likes what it sees, and the zine was funded in just 15 hours.
Worldlings are old souls, tiny but great gods. Part of the world’s natural balance, each type of Worldling has its own domain and class. How many are there? It depends on how well the Kickstarter does.
However, Worldlings is more than a bestiary. There are prewritten story looks and a generator of mysteries to rummage up story hooks for inquisitive PCs.
Hidden in the mists of the Wilderwoods, just past the outskirts of the village, in the cracks and hollows, small souls lead profoundly simple lives, linked to the world by delicate threads of magic and happenstance.
It’s a pledge of $10 to support the campaign and get a PDF copy of the zine. If you go for that tier, your estimated delivery is November this year.
Stepping up to $18 means you’ll get the printed zine and stretch goals, but not all that will be ready this year. The estimated delivery for the last of those goodies is in January 2023.
There’s also a fancy patch available, and that’s added to the look pile at $32, and at $80, backers get their name added to the zine’s credits.
There are two higher tiers, but they are limited in number for retailers looking to buy multiple copies.
