Emmet Kiernan has a system to surround Player Characters with cryptids, psychos and cults.
Campfire Catastrophe uses the Squishy quickstart horror TTRPG rules but can be used to generate dodgy summer camps for any game. The campaign has three weeks to fund.
There are 32 random tables in Campfire Catastrophe, 13 creatures and creeps and three scenarios.
The Kickstarter pitch says the book is 80% finished and available, in part, available for play today.
SUMMER VACATION, set around the camp, at the lake, and within various locations throughout the woods, where players take the role as camp councillors dealing with a group of kids coming to visit the camp on their vacation. Keep ’em entertained and keep ’em in one piece!
There are a few weird things about this Kickstarter, such as the exposed email addresses where the project coordinator’s name should be and random return spaces in sentences.
You can support the project by sharing it online, talking to friends about it or pledging some cash.
At €5, a 28-page PDF demo is yours straightaway and then, if the campaign is successful, the full Campfire Catastrophe PDF.
At €20, the print copy is the reward, but Emmet has limited the numbers to only 200.
Stretch goals add more tables and potentially more colour and posters.
The delivery of the printed version is slated for February 2023.
