Trigger has an anime to follow their Edgerunners release at Netflix, and the studio will be moving from Cyberpunk to D&D. Dungeons and dining, that is, or perhaps I should say DnD for Delicious in Dungeon.
Ryoko Kui’s Dungeon Meshi will get an anime translation.
There are 11 volumes of Delicious in Dungeon on Amazon with bundle deals to buy batches at once. Even Amazon’s algorithms know to cross-sell D&D books with people checking out the series.
How is the series described in the book shop?
When young adventurer Laios and his company are attacked and soundly thrashed by a dragon deep in a dungeon, the party loses all its money and provisions…and a member! They’re eager to go back and save her, but there is just one problem: If they set out with no food or coin to speak of, they’re sure to starve on the way! But Laios comes up with a brilliant idea: “Let’s eat the monsters!” Slimes, basilisks, and even dragons…none are safe from the appetites of these dungeon-crawling gourmands!
So, it’s an anime about adventures that eat their way through the monsters! That could get dark.
We’re yet to see whether a streaming platform picks up the title or even the Japanese release date, but I imagine it’ll be early 2023.
