Wizards of the Coast’s big news is out, and it’s mainly about the next edition of D&D, which will be called One D&D. There’s new books coming.
Here’s a summary video, and then, afterwards, I fed a press summary into Quillbot and asked it to summarise. The result is 305 words. I’ll add the formatting, though.
One D&D news summarised by an algorithm
- One D&D playtesting begins today. One D&D is the codename for the next generation of Dungeons & Dragons, which includes revised rules, backwards compatibility with 5th Edition, D&D Beyond, and an early-in-development D&D digital play experience that will provide players and Dungeon Masters complete immersion and powerful 3D creative capabilities.
- Shadow of the Dragon Queen is set in Krynn during the War of the Lance. Dragonlance: Warriors of Krynn lets players decide on war events. Fans may flip between the D&D adventure and the Rob Daviau and Stephen Baker board game to tell a single narrative. Shadow of the Dragon Queen will be released on Dec. 6, 2022 with a standard and a game store-exclusive cover. Shadow of the Dragon Queen Deluxe Edition will be released on Feb. 28, 2023. It includes the adventure, board game, and Dungeon Master screen.
- Dungeons & Dragons is thrilled to offer physical and digital content packages on D&D Beyond with Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen. Preorder at dndstore.wizards.com to obtain early access on Nov. 22, 2022.
- Drizzt’s popular. D&D is honouring the drow hero’s 35th anniversary with new covers. The Legend of Drizzt Visual Dictionary includes mythology, monsters, weapons, foes, and friends. A Drizzt Family webcomic will feature Brie, Drizzt and Cattie-tween Brie’s daughter, “borrowing” her father’s sword Twinkle to show she’s a hero like her predecessors.
