The phrase “soulslike games” as we can figure out what Rune’s inspirations are without the lawyers getting involved.
Spencer Campbell of Gila is back on Kickstarter with a concise run. There’s a handful of days left to back Rune.
Soulslike games include Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Elden Ring and here they’re shaping a solo RPG in which you’re a wanderer in the Obron lands. It’s dangerous here.
The Kickstarter took only 50 minutes to fun, so the Rune rulebook is on the way, in PDF and print. There will be six different realms in PDF too. That core rulebook weighs in at 60 pages.
Rune is a game with two phases; Exploration of Combat, and think you can tell what happens in each. However, here’s a video explanation.
You are an Engraved. Cursed to wander the shattered world of Obron, you seek the power to take back control of your fate. Explore Realms, kill Rune Lords, and carve the power of fate into your very being.
The pledges are straightforward, and you can support the project by talking about it by offering $1 in support.
If you can afford $15, then the core rules and Realm Collection PDFs are offered up as rewards.
The print edition of Rune, with over 400 backers and international shipping, is added to the rewards at $25.
There’s also a $100 version which is the same and signed.
Irrespective of the tier, delivery is slated for December.
