Warbirds is set in an alternate reality where, in 1805, a collection of Caribbean islands is inexplicably relocated to Azure, where they float over a sea of clouds called the Murk and a perpetual cyclone called the Eye makes radio and radar problematic.
There are pirates, zeppelins, and bird-monsters. Elite pilots of the Esteemed Guild of Combat Aviators ride stubby yet nimble Warbirds, fuelled by sugarcane ethanol. Jamaica, Florida, Puerto Rico, Haiti, the Reformed Catholic Church in Cuba, the Mayans of Yucatan, and others need pilots to fly courier missions, combat criminal masterminds and crazy scientists, and explore “errant islands.”
