Sacrificial Princess & the King of Beasts is based on Yu Tomofuji’s manga, but it somewhat reminds me of Beauty and the Beast. Mainly because there’s a worryingly young Beauty and an oddly fluffy Beast.
The series is expected to debut in 2023.
The manga is on Amazon via Yen Press, and they describe the series;
A young girl has resigned herself to being the next sacrificial meal for the Beast King…but the king is no mere monster! Love is more than skin-deep in this gorgeous fantasy manga.
Chiaki Kon (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal: Season III) will direct the J.C. Staff project. There’s a spin-off manga, so perhaps high hopes for the anime, with some 2.1 million copies in production if you count the digital releases.
