Forbidden Planet has The DC Tarot, which means there’s an official DC tarot deck.
In truth, the deck includes a hardcover guidebook and isn’t out until November.
It strikes me as quite a contrast to the Comics Code Authority, which once ruled the topics comic books cover and what they could print.
Whereas tarot might be about exploring shades of grey and thinking through the daily challenges aided by the cards’ lens, the comic book code insisted that good must always be seen to triumph.
Moreso, the Authority banned symbols with undesirable meanings, and another banned associations with the walking dead, ghouls and werewolfism.
The official DC tarot deck has heroes and villains on the 78-cards, which means both Major and Minor Arcana.
