Brisbane-based Plus Three Press has launched Elementra, a 5e supplement with an elemental focus, into Kickstarter.
The publisher is planning a series of previews, and Geek Native has had an early look at the first. You can see it below, but the pitch video for the project is coming up ahead of that.
What are the seven elements? In Elementara, they are nature, air, spirit, fire, metal, earth, and water.
Elementara is a new supplement that introduces elemental manipulation to 5e, revolutionising the way you create characters and adventures with many new elemental possibilities and resources. You’ll use this book to choose one of seven elements to awaken within your character, then customise them with 150+ new spells and martial skills.
The powers are intended to be employed in your 5e worlds and the world of Ezara, a new campaign setting comprising seven major kingdoms, each founded around a massive elemental anomaly.

In total, Elementara offers;
- A new elemental spell system
- 100+ new elemental spells
- 7 new elemental spell lists
- 50+ techniques for martial classes
- New lore for the world of Ezara
- 25+ elemental monsters and NPCs
- Rules to ‘Element-ify’ existing creatures in 5e
Nicely, Plus Three Press are promising to plant three trees for every Kickstarter backer. It might not seem like much, but the world would be better if every tabletop project did this.
Elementara transforms 5e to use solely elemental magic and is compatible with all existing content. It categorizes existing options and introduces a hoard of new ones, allowing you to create a character that can manipulate the elements. In the standard gameplay mode, you’ll choose a single element for your elemancer, forging them using any 5e class—you’ll get to play your favorite classes & subclasses with a unique elemental twist!
A pledge of AU$ 30, which is about £18, will get you the Elementara PDF.
You can support the Kickstarter by spreading the word about it, pointing out the trees or the free preview, and being a cheerleader.
However, if you can step up to AU$ 65, that’s enough to get the standard edition hardcover and a fold-out poster map added to the PDF as pledge rewards.
Alternatively, the PDF and Spell & Technique Card Deck unlock at AU$ 65. If you want the hardcover, map and cards, then that’s AU$ 95.
The mention of a standard edition implies a limited edition, which is at the AU$ 125 tier, about £74, and that comes with your name in the book and the map and cards.
Three Plus Press estimates a project delivery date of around September 2023.
