Bleach ran from 2004 to 2012, and those 12 years could have been the teenage years for some anime fans. That’s not even getting into the comic.
It was a surprise to this blogger when the show was cancelled, and it was a delight when its return was announced a decade later. The manga’s final arc, Thousand-Year Blood War, will be the anime’s second series, starting on October 10th in Japan.
Bleach season 2 will be split into four different runs, or cours as they’re known, so we’re going to get used to waiting. Cour one runs from October 10th, although there’s a premiere at New York Comic Con on the 8th.
The manga version of the Thousand-Year Blood War started at volume 55 and finished at 74, so there’s quite a bit of content.
Many of the original cast are returning, and we’re even getting voice actors from the Bleach: Brave Souls game who hadn’t yet been in the TV anime.
Crunchyroll streams the original series, but I notice a lack of confirmation as to where the new series is going. Uh-oh.
