I think the point of this game is to suggest that travelling around your otherwise safe and familiar neighbourhood would be dangerous if it was filled with zombies.
No, wait, that’s not it. I think the point of the game is to show you that the daily commute can turn you into a zombie. If you’re a zombie then you can be shot in the head by a Virgin Trains ticket inspector and then you’ll go to heaven.
The goal of the game – don’t go zombie.
I travel a lot. Let me tell you the very best place to go zombie is on the train. Try and get a seat empty beside you, sloach against the window and snooze.
As much as this game (by an ageny called Elvis, no less!) is quirky – I quite enjoyed the Google Maps tour of my block. Shooting zombies in the head is always fun.
One problem though. The Facebook integration doesn’t seem to be working. The idea is here is that success should be bragged about on Facebook. If I had failed on my quest to get from home to random location without being mauled by the zombies then my Facebook friends would have to come save me.
Does this bug mean that my friends can’t rescue me if I get captured? Oh noes!
If you want to take the risk then you can find the game at Don’t Go Zombie.com.
