I know! You’ll think I’m obsessed with advent calendars, given I all but begged for a D&D calendar last year and have already talked about electronic games one for this year.
How could I not mention the official Doctor Who calendar, though?
Firstly, the calendar is a TARDIS which seems appropriate. We have a clue as to what’s inside as well. There’s a Sontaran egg cup! Oh, the lolls.
We’re told there are costers, accessories and 24 festive-themed gifts. Each time there’s a note and trivia with, weirdly, branded tissue paper. Is anyone actually going to save that? We can see plenty more gifts in the teaser video.
I think the problem is that advent calendars work best as pre-Christmas gifts and are so kinda strange! Lost Universe, who sell this model, expect to get it in by mid-November.
Lost Universe don’t claim an exclusive or mention the maker, except to say it’s official BBC merch. However, I notice “Eagle Moss” in the image file and in the YouTube teaser. They have a Dr Who license.
