Paul Gregorwich has a Pay What You Want with a suggested price of $0.00 on the DMsGuild for Monster Harvesting.
I paid $1 for mine, which makes me ‘above average,’ but the download only came out today.
It’s kept simple, a philosophy that Gregorwich advocates, which means four pages of content, including the duel cover-license page.
Without giving the system away for free, the designer assigns DC checks to internal and external parts of creatures. These change depending on whether the monster is small, medium, large, huge or gargantuan.
There are some specific monster examples of particular gory loot. For example;
Roper: Digestive fluids (20-40 gp per ounce, contains 30 to 40 ounces per Roper), Adhesive fluids (75-150 gp per ounce, 15 to 30 ounces per Roper)
Monster Harvesting isn’t Paul’s first submission to the DMsGuild. Previously, there’s been the 16-page The Carnival adventure and the Gnome tinker and tavern food expansion.
If Paul is running a D&D game for you, your character is at the carnival, and a gnome butcher offers you an exotic hotdog and isn’t entirely clear about the meat — eat at your own risk!
I think I got value for my $1; however, I was looking for some Halloween vibe, and Monster Harvesting is more matter-of-fact than that.
