Mugman was a 2013 American cartoon, but this mask isn’t for that. This Mugman, which you can get from Fun.com is Cuphead’s younger brother.
He’s the sensible one.
Cuphead was a quick-to-cult and very challenging computer game from Studio MDHR with a side-scrolling retro-vibe and classic look. The fan community was so strong that Netflix made a TV series.
There’s a lot to say about Cuphead and Mugman. The game won the Golden Joystick and The Game Awards of 2017, the Annie Awards, DICE Awards, SXSW, Game Developers Choice Awards, British Academy Game Awards and Webby Awards in its first two years. The expansion, The Delicious Last Course, is nominated for this year’s Gold Joystick Awards.
The game’s first act is “Don’t Deal With the Devil”, and we can call out how Halloweeny that is.
However, Fun.com’s bio on the mask is currently empty at the time of writing. They make the vacuform mask, so they’re not waiting on a manufacturer’s description. It’s Halloween, though; they’ll be busy, and I doubt anywhere else has the license for this, and perhaps there’s no competition or hurry.
