Yen Press has the license for the English manga, and they describe the story clearly;

More than 1.5 million copies of the books are out there, and the 12th novel will be published in Japan next month.
It’s April 2023 for the anime that Kadokawa is backing, with Millepensee and TMS ANimation involved.
We don’t yet know whether Crunchyroll, HiDive or Netflix will pick it up.
