Ragna Crimson is the upcoming anime version of Daiki Kobayashi’s manga. It’s the story of dragon hunters in a world where dragons are nearly unstoppable.
The series is due in 2023, and Sentai Filmworks will stream it internationally.
This is the first promotional video for the anime, and it mixes sombre moments with action, though even the action seems angst-ridden.
It’s being animated by Silver Link and is directed by Ken Takahashi. We also know key members of the cast;
- Ragna voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi (who was Louis James Moriarty in Moriarty the Patriot)
- Crimson will be Ayumu Murase (who voiced Ginro in Dr. STONE)
- Leonica is played by Inori Minase (aka fan-favourite Rem in Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-)
Sentai Filmworks describe the show;
Dragons reign terror over the earth, sea and sky. If sworn dragon hunters like Ragna are to have any hope of dealing death to these seemingly invincible, fire-breathing beasts, they must find a way to level the odds. Ragna teams up with a mysterious man named Crimson who has likewise sworn to stand against the dragons menacing the world. But although Crimson’s motivations may be mysterious, his goal and Ragna’s perfectly align, and together they’ll fight to vanquish the dragons once and for all.
